People’s Earth Day in the Bayview on Sunday, April 18th

The first of two Bayview Sunday Streets is coming up next Sunday, April 18th from 10am – 3pm.  The route for the event will start at AT&T Park and go down Terry Francois Blvd until Mariposa Street and then follow Third Street (northbound lane only) all the way down to MLK Park (3rd and Armstrong). Please see the map to the left for details.

Although this is the official route of the event, there will be an offshoot to the event well worth checking out sponsored by the Bayview’s own environmental advocacy organization, Literacy for Environmental Justice (LEJ).  The event will be held at the end of Cargo Way at Heron’s Head Park and will be a celebration of the brand new, 100% off-the-grid eco-center located at the entrance of the park.  Activities at the LEJ-sponsored “People’s Earth Day” event include music, entertainment, food, bird-watching tours, and much more.  See the poster below for more details.
