“Dollar Store & More” Grand Opening TOMORROW

On Friday, January 29th, from 1:00pm – 3:00pm, the Bayview-Hunters Point community will welcome its newest addition to the Third Street corridor as it celebrates the grand opening of Dollar Store & More – a brand new, locally owned business in the Bayview town center at the corner of Third Street and Palou Avenue.  Dollar Store & More is the brainchild of Marvin Robinson, a small business entrepreneur and native son of the Bayview community.

Mr. Robinson has put a great deal of time and energy into renovating his store, which sits at the corner of Third and Palou, a busy intersection in the Bayview’s town center.  The city, recognizing the importance of the location, has complemented Robinson’s efforts with considerable support, including a grant through the Mayor’s SF Shines Façade Improvement Program.  Mr. Robinson sees his store as a catalyst for future developments along Third Street; paving the way for more well-managed, well-maintained, community-owned businesses along the corridor.   As an active member of the Bayview Merchants’ Association, Robinson is helping to take the lead in developing a shared vision of the neighborhood’s commercial thoroughfare with his fellow Bayview merchants.

The grand opening of Dollar Store & More will take place at its location on the corners of Third Street and Palou Avenue. Community leaders, city officials, and other dignitaries will be in attendance throughout the event.  The official ribbon cutting will take place promptly at 2:00pm.

SPONSORS INCLUDE:

Bayview Merchant Association (BMA), Third Street Corridor Project (TSCP).
