From an email received over the weekend. BWOPA (Black Women Organized for Political Action) is hosting a meeting this Wednesday at the Southeast Community Center to discuss the upcoming District 10 Supervisor’s race:

Host: A Town Hall Meeting to Discuss the District 10 Supervisor Race.
- DATE: WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 24TH
- TIME: 6:00PM-7:30PM
- ROOM: SB213
BWOPA’s purpose is to activate, motivate, promote, support, and educate African-American women about the political process, encourage involvement, and to affirm our commitment to, and solving of, those problems affecting the African-Community.
ALL PERSONS ARE WELCOME AND MEMBERSHIP IS OPEN TO ALL GENDERS AND RACES.
Please note that it is important to hear from the community to see what they want in the next Supervisor for District 10. The community makes the decision by way of 1st being registered to VOTE, donating money to a campaign, and volunteering.
If you have friends, family and colleagues who are not registered to VOTE it is your responsibility to get them to register. We need to not be selfish and think about Now but think about the generations to come. It is everyone’s responsibility to be active in the political process.
Time is of the essence District 10 and it is important that as we move forward in this democratic process. Your input is important and your voice MUST be heard. YOUTH ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
DISCLOSURE: This is not a political event. Candidates who are running are welcome, but no campaign signs, petitions, or anything campaign related are WELCOMED.
GOAL: This meeting will help BWOPA-SF move forward in planning a debate with registered candidates who are running for District 10 Supervisor. This meeting is informational and necessary prior to candidates forum.
